OK, I can see that you guys dont know much about history...
Maybe you are too young. But it is OK. Even here in Slovenia younger generations dont know much about 2CV-s made here or history before 1990.
We had beautiful life here until mid 90-s... than ... it is another story...
We all grow up with everything we ever need. And part of that was all kind of cars and motorcycles. English (Norton, Triumph), Italyan (Guzzi,...), Japan (Honda, Kawasaki, Jamaha,...) , American (Harley...) motorcycles. And every child from 13 years up had it first moped Tomos, Anker Laura or Puch Rog. First cars when we where students or just 18 years old was Fiat 600 (Zastava 600) or some kind of Citroen A series (2CV, Dyane, AMI, Mehari, ...).
Oldest 2CV club in the world is Finish 2cv club. But second oldest club was YUAS Klub from Yugoslavia (1964). Citroen Club of Slovenia is arose from it.
OK, Tomos started to cooperate with Citroen in 1959. Production of 2cv started in 1960 and 1961 started with production of AMI6 , 1967 - Dyane . In 1969 started with production of AMI8, 1971 - GS models. In selling program was also HY, ID, DS, SM. In 1973 Cimos company was founded . After that Tomos and Citroene was separated. From 1960 with cooperation with Citroen a lot of other Yugoslav companys was producing parts for Citroens (Iskra, Saturnus,...) that was also producing parts for Tomos mopeds.
You can see on my previous link some hystory of Tomos Citroen . It is not translated yet. But there is a lot of original pictures from that Time.
